Perfusion Lung

چکیده
Study objectives: Scintigraphic prediction of the residual pulmonary function following a lobectomy is not widely employed; its accuracy is poorly known. This study aims at determining the accuracy and the clinical value of the scintigraphic prediction of postlobectomy residual function. Patients and interventions: In this study, 41 patients with bronchial carcinoma underwent a perfusion lung scintigraphy before lobectomy; the functional contribution of each single lobe was computed by an indirect method proposed by Wernly et al; the results of the scintigraphic prediction were compared with those of the pulmonary function tests performed 1 month after

Spurious lung perfusion ventilation defect on planar ventilation-perfusion scan detected by SPECT imaging
Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a preventable cause of morbidity and mortality which needs prompt recognition. Ventilation-perfusion (V/Q) scan is a well-established diagnostic test for evaluation of suspected PE. We report a 32-year-old woman with history of rheumatologic disease and acute dyspnea, who was referred for V/Q scintigraphy. The planar images revealed multiple mismatched defects through...
متن کاملDiagnosis of thromboembolic disease: Combined ventilation perfusion lung scan and compression ultrasonography
The clinical management of pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis of the legs are similar and requires prolonged anticoagulation therapy. The standard diagnostic approach in patients suspected of pulmonary embolism is ventilation-perfusion (V/Q) lung scan and compression ultrasonography to detect deep venous thrombosis. This retrospective study analyzed the role of V/Q lung scan an...

Bachground: The aim of this study was to determine of diagnostic value of albumin, anti-thrombin Ш, and fibrinogen factors in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism compared to lung perfusion scan in patients with nephrotic syndrome referred to Hazrat Ali Asghar hospital of Tehran city (Iran) in 2018-2019. Methods: This study was cross sectional study that was carried out on 30 patients with nep...
متن کاملTranslational Insights on Lung Transplantation: Learning from Immunology
The introduction of ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) in the practice of lung transplantation has allowed the reconditioning of the marginal grafts and their conversion into transplantable grafts. In addition, EVLP can provide a platform for the application of various preventive measures to decrease the incidence of post-transplant complications. While the Toronto team targets the attenuation of th...
متن کاملکاربرد میکرو ذرات چیتوزان – تکنسیوم-99 در تصویربرداری ریه موش: یک گزارش کوتاه
Background and Objective: In nuclear medicine, lung perfusion scintigraphy is performed by radiolabeled particles, 99 mTc-albumin macroaggregated. Synthesizing of the particles has some difficulties. In order to resolve this problem, chitosan microparticles were used as an alternative choice. Materials and Methods: The qualitative control tests including: the determining particles size...
متن کاملMyocardial perfusion SPECT: Perfusion quantification
Different software tools for quantification of myocardial perfusion SPECT (MPS) studies are routinely used. Several perfusion parameters can be computed automatically. Interpretation of the MPS should start with visual inspection of the rotating planar images, visual analysis of reconstructed SPECT slices and then quantitative analysis to confirm the visual impression. Quantification should be...
